Hon. Sahar Albazar, UNITE Member from Egypt, highlighted the health impacts of malnutrition on women and girls and urged stronger legislative responses to advance gender equity, nutrition, and maternal health, at the 69th session of the Commission on the Status of Women.
Also during the CSW, Hon. Sahar Albazar launched the Solidarity Alliance, a new global platform supporting women across 140+ countries in the Global South. As a founding Steering Committee member, she championed equity, inclusion, and improved health outcomes for women facing intersecting challenges linked to food insecurity and climate vulnerability.
