Members of Parliament discuss policy interventions to reduce Drug-related Harm

Also in January, the UK All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Drug Policy Reform and UNITE organized a discussion on the policy interventions to reduce drug-related harm, particularly with regards to cannabis.

In 2022, an opinion survey was commissioned by the APPG on the UK public´s views on drug laws. The representative poll showed the majority of voters support decriminalization of certain drugs, as well as implementation of harm reduction measures and advancements regarding the regulation of cannabis.

During the two-hour discussion, representatives of LuxembourgGermanyMalta, the United States and experts from different countries presented approaches to drug regulation in their respective countries. Participants also had the opportunity to share their experiences on current debates and developments in drug policy reform.
