The “Let’s Talk Health” series by UNITE continues to provide a platform for parliamentarians to address key health issues in their regions. This initiative encourages dialogue and collaboration among legislators.
On July 5th, 2024, the series highlighted “Gender & Public Health Legislation” in Africa, showcasing the impactful work of women parliamentarians in advancing health policies despite ongoing gender disparities.Â
The session explored the challenges and successes these legislators face in promoting public health through legislative efforts.
On August 13th, 2024, the focus shifted to the Asia Pacific (APAC) region where the discussion centered on the critical role of youth in shaping the future of digital health.Â
Parliamentarians and experts discussed strategies for fostering inclusive governance, ensuring that young voices are integral to decision-making processes, and driving innovation in digital health solutions. The webinar, in collaboration with YO.DH (Youth Ownership of Digital Health), included the participation from six APAC countries.
