Let’s Talk Health Series: UNITE Members ongoing discussions on critical Global Health issues

On June 14, the UNITE’s Latin America and the Caribbean Chapter convened to discuss the gender gap in the digital transformation of health, at the second session of the Let’s Talk Health Series of the region.

Hon. Éctor Jaime Ramírez Barba from Mexico and Hon. Esperanza Martínez from Paraguay presented their respective countries’ experiences, good practices and challenges. 

Ángela León Cáceres from Women 4 Global Fund offered perspectives from international organizations on challenges in designing gender-sensitive public policies.

On June 28, the EECA Chapter discussed integrating efforts against Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and Sepsis in the region, using Moldova as a case study

The meeting aimed to align national policies with the Health in All Policies approach.

Representatives from UkraineMoldovaKyrgyzstanArmenia, and North Macedonia attended. Hon. Mariam Jashi emphasized the importance of the 2030 Global Agenda for Sepsis and integrating AMR into the One Health framework. Hon. Adrian Belii highlighted AMR’s threat in Moldova, underscoring the need for coordinated global health efforts and sustainable health systems.
