Empowering Parliamentarians for Brazil’s G20 Presidency: The Global Initiative on Digital Health

The digital revolution will be pivotal to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030, including Universal Health Coverage (UHC). Digital health promises improved and more equitable access to care, better clinical outcomes and safety, as well as reduced costs. The Global Initiative on Digital Health (GIDH), launched by the World Health Organization (WHO) during India’s presidency of the G20 in 2023, aims to implement the Global Strategy on Digital Health in its entirety and recognizes digital health as an “accelerator for achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC).”

Therefore, UNITE hosted a webinar, to serve as a platform to enable a wide global ecosystem to work collectively to promote country capacity and strengthen international cooperation in digital health.
