UNITE and HealthAI launch Position Paper for Parliamentarians on Responsible AI in Health

UNITE Parliamentarians Network for Global Health and HealthAI – the Global Agency for Responsible AI in Health released a position paper, emphasizing the crucial role of parliamentarians in guiding the responsible use of AI in health. AI has the potential to revolutionize healthcare, but thoughtful governance is essential to address ethical, safety, and equity concerns.

Parliamentarians are uniquely positioned to shape policies that balance innovation with safety. By promoting fairness, accountability, and cross-sector collaboration, they can help ensure AI serves all communities, especially those in underserved regions. Their leadership can bridge global principles with national policies, fostering trust in AI systems and encouraging widespread adoption.

UNITE and HealthAI have joined forces to provide clarity and critical recommendations on the role of AI in health. In a new joint-positioning paper, they highlight the critical role of parliamentarians in shaping AI governance to ensure AI in health is safe, effective, and equitable for all. By adopting Responsible AI principles, we can build trust and drive ethical innovation in health worldwide.
