Honourable Esther M Passaris, OGW is a Member of Parliament representing Nairobi County; the capital city in the Republic of Kenya. She is an accomplished social entrepreneur, business and political leader. In the National Assembly, Hon. Passaris is an active member of the Committee on Health and the Special Funds Account Committee. She is also a founding member of the Kenya Parliamentary Caucus on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) & Business. In 2002, Hon. Passaris established Adopt-A-Light Ltd; the pioneer lighting and outdoor advertising company of the Year Awards (COYA) in recognition of its corporate citizenship management. Introduced the concept of Public Private Partnership (PPP) in Kenya by implementing a multi-million US dollars project to install street poles in the city of Nairobi.
In 2004, Hon Passaris was awarded the Eve Woman of the Year Award, Make a Difference Award and the Mayoral Achievement Award. In 2006, she was honored with the Mashiriki Innovations in Local Governance Award and National Human Settlement Award by UN-HABITAT.
Bogolo Joy Kenewendo is an economist and politician, who serves as the Cabinet Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, in the Cabinet of Botswana since April 2018. Kenewendo worked as a trade economist in the Ghanaian Ministry of Trade and Industry. She also served as an economic consultant at Econsult Botswana, a Gaborone-based think tank. Kenewendo is member of UNITE since October 2017.
Botlogile Tshireletso is a Motswana politician, who serves as the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development in the Cabinet of Botswana, effective 4 April 2018. Immediately prior to her present position, she served as the Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, in the Botswana cabinet. She also serves as the elected Member of Parliament, representing Mahalapye East constituency, in the Parliament of Botswana. Tshireletso is member of UNITE since October 2017.
Martin Peters Owino is a member of the Health Committee at the Kenyan Parliament. Before joining the Parliament, Owino was, from 1996 to 2006, Coordinator of National HIV/STD Prevention, Education and Training Programme at the Ministry of Health. Since 1999, Owino is the President of the African Health Foundation Kenya/USA. Martin Owino is a member of UNITE since July 2019.
Sabina Chege is the Chairperson of the Departmental Health Committee of the Kenyan Parliament as well as Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Education, Research & Technology. A former Journalist and Radio Presenter, Chege has worked in the private sector before joining the Parliament and holds her Master’s Degree in Communications. Sabina Chege is a member of UNITE since September 2018.
Kipsengeret Koros is a Kenyan Politician and a current member of the Departmental Committee on Health. Koros holds a Master degree and a Higher National Diploma in Community Health and Development from the Great Lakes University; a graduate of Philosophy in Pharmacology & Toxicology from the University of Nairobu.Prior to his election, Koros has worked as a Research Officer in the Kenyan Medical Research Institute, an author of internationally recognized publications. Kipsengeret Koros is a member of UNITE since January 2020.
Gabriel Tongoyo is as Member of the National Assembly of Kenya. As a Parliamentarian, he controls budget, oversees the presidency, ministries and parastatals, plus appointments. Gabriel wevelops or contributes to law making and runs the Constituency Development Fund. Gabriel Tongoyo is a member of UNITE since January 2020.
Beatriz Chaguala is an elected Mozambican MP. She’s the reporter of the Prevention and Flighting agains HIV/ AIDS commission and a great advocator against child marriages. Chaguala is a member of UNITE since April 2019.
SAIMONE MUHAMBI MACUIANA
Saimone is the Chairperson of HIV and AIDS Committee in the Parliament of Mozambique. Known in the Mozambican media for raising awareness for HIV/AIDS by asking all the MPs to be tested and to lead by example. Saimone is also the Head of the Legal Department within his party Renamo. Saimone was several times appointed by Renamo leadership to lead the peace agreements talks with the Government. Saimone is a member of UNITE since 2018.
Ahmed Munzoor Shaik Emam was a member of ACTSTOP in Johannesburg; a member of the United Democratic Front, pre-1994; a member of the Health Committee at the Parliament. Shaik-Emam has held many positions in different community organizations, including Chairperson of Crisis Careline school governing bodies, body corporates and providing legal assistance. Founded the current party he belongs to and was elected with to the Parliament, the National Freedom Party. Ahmed Munzoor Shaik-Emam is member of UNITE since November 2018.
Ms. Phumzile Bhengu has been Member of Parliament since 2004. Holding a degree in Management, Bhengu-Kombe served as Chairperson of the African National’s Congress Youth League. Bhengu-Kombe was also Deputy Chairperson of the African Congress Women League. Bhengu-Kombe has helped to publish the Disabled People South Africa Newsletter. Currently serves as the ANC Whip for the Portfolio Committee on Women. Bhengu-Kombe is a member of UNITE since November 2018.
Amos Fish Mahlalela is an elected Member of the South African Paliament. Mahlalela, African National’s Congress Whip at the Committee on Health, has served many years in the government and within the South African Public Administration. He is a former Regional Minister of Transportation. Amos Fish Mahlalela is a member of UNITE since November 2018.
Makoti Sibongile Khawula is an elected Member of the South African Parliament and stands on the Water and Sanitation Committee as well on the Committee reffering to Women in the Presidency. A strong advocate for sanitation, infrasctrures and access to water, Sibongile Khawula is a leading voice on the decentralization in South Africa and a champion for the constituency of Maphumulo. Makoti Sibongile Khawula is a member of UNITE since November 2018.
Patrick Maesela is one of the most senior politicians in South Africa and within the African National Congress. Member of the Health Committee, Patrick Maesela was very much involved in recent politics being the first MP to nominate Cyril Ramaphosa as President of South Africa. Patrick Maesela is a member of UNITE since November 2018.
Terri Stander is the Shadow Deputy Minister of Women from Democractic Alliance, the major opposition party in South Africa. She is the Shadow Deputy Minister of Women. Prior to joining the Parliament in 2014, Terri Stander was very involved in business as she also started her consultancy firm and has a strong track-record as an opinion-maker and activist in South Africa towards Human Rights. Terri Stander is a member of UNITE since November 2018.
OSCAR RWEGIRA MUKASA

Oscar Mukasa is the Chairperson of the HIV and AIDS Affairs Committee at the Tanzanian Parliament. A frequent speaker at international conferences due to his championship in raising awareness of the epidemics in his country and his region, Mukasa was a Manager at the National Council for people living with HIV. Oscar Mukasa holds a degree from the Netherlands Institute of Health Sciences. Oscar Mukasa is a member of UNITE from September 2018.
SUSAN ANSELM JEROME LYIMO

Susan Lyimo is an elected Member of Parliament of Tanzania where she is the Vice-Chairperson of the Tanzania’s Parliamentary Women Group. Lyimo, who was teacher for several years before joining the Parliament, was part of the HIV and Aids Affairs Committee of the Parliament, from 2006 to 2010. Lyimo is a member of UNITE since October 2017.
PUDENCIANA W. KIKWEMBE

Pudenciana Kikwembe is an elected Member of the Tanziana since 2010. From 2015 to 2018, within the Parliament, she held the role of Deputy Chairperson of Administration and Local Governments Committee. With a PhD in Population, Natural Resources and Enviromental Economics, Kikwembe was a lecturer at the Institute of Rural Development Planning from 2006 to 2010. Kikwembe is member of UNITE since October 2017.
Patricia Chileshe Mwashingwele is a Member of the Zambian Parliament since 2016. She is currently the Vice-Chairperson of two Committees within the Parliament: Education, Science & Technology and Parastatal Bodies. Mwashingwale has a solid work on advocating as she plays a vital role in working with the key populations in rural Zambia with SAfAIDS. Patricia Mwashingwale is a member of UNITE since July 2018.
Ruth Labode, a public health specialist, is a Member of the Parliament in Botswana. A seasoned politician with experience in working with multiple networks and international organizations, Labode is a medical doctor with a Master’s Degree in Community Health. Labode is also a champion for the KP-Reach Global Fund project. Ruth Labode is a member of UNITE since July 2018.
Senator Lilian Timveos is one of the most seasoned politicians in Zimbabwe. A known face in local Politics, Senator Timveos is the Chief Whip in the Senate from her party. She was for 5 years Chairperson of the Senate Thematic Committee on HIV/AIDS. Senator Timveos is a strong voice on freedom and democracy in Zimbabwe. She is also a successful businesswoman, being the owner and director of Rainbow Early Childhood Development Centre. Senator Timveos is Member of UNITE since January 2019.
Dought Ndiweni is a Member of Parliament from Zimbabwe since 2018. Ndiweni is currently a member of portfolio committees of Health and Childcare, Energy and Power Development, and ICT and the Executive member of the SADC Parliamentary Forum, being currently in the Executive committee & the committee on Democratization, Good Governance and Human Rights. Ndiwni is also the President of the Retail Pharmacist Association of Zimbabwe Dought holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy Honors degree from the University of Zimbabwe. Workink in the field, Dought has been the administrator of the Gwanda Provincial hospital and opened his own Private retail pharmacy, wich runs till today. Since this period, Dought has been involved heavily in community activities and served twice as Chairman of Karoi’s district Hospital Advisory Board. Nidweni is also involved in Charity work through the Lions Club of Karoi, been elected as President of the Club for three terms. In addition to the charity work, Dought is heavily involved in local governance in Karoi and have served as a Counselor for 12 years (1995-2006), during which he headed the Council as Chairman of the Town Council for three terms. Dought is a Member of UNITE since January 2021
Moshoeshoe Fako is the joint chairperson of the ABC Causus in the parliament of Lesotho and chairperson of the Social Cluster Portfolio Committee. Prior to his election, Moshoeshoe served in the military between 1986 and 2000. Moshoeshoe graduated from the University of Cape Town and later enrolled for a BSc in Radiography from the Central University of Technology in Bloemfontein. He received in-house training in radiology at Queen Elizabeth II Hospital and worked at the Makoanyane Military Hospital of Maseru. Moshoeshoe is a chairperson of TB Caucus and an executive member of the Network of African Parliamentary Committee of Health. Moshoeshoe Fako is a member of UNITE since June 2020.
